Our updated, natural play-based kindergarten program provides a safe, nurturing environment for your child to make the gentle transition to their school years.
Fostering your child’s natural curiosity, Tiny Seeds Kindy aims to equip your child with the knowledge, skills and experiences they need to confidently take their place in their family and school community. Our dedicated team focuses on developing in each child a love of learning, a strong sense of belonging, compassion for others and an appreciation of the amazing world around them.
We provide specially designed indoor and outdoor learning spaces and a combination of free-play and structured learning experiences.
A typical day in our Kindergarten includes:
Art, craft and other fine motor skill activities
Physical education, games and other gross motor development
Music and drama
Science and discovery experiences
Pre-reading, pre-writing and pre-numeracy activities
Books and stories
Outside play and free-role play
A quiet time for rest or sleep, depending on the needs of each child
Structured meal times where children and staff sit together
Kindergarten students have access to all our Darling Downs Adventist College facilities. They enjoy weekly Library visits to our colourful Resource Centre and also get to explore our productive Kitchen Garden. Becoming involved with these school activities allows children to become familiar with the wider school environment before they enter into their Prep year.
We recognise the important role you as a parent play as your child’s first educator and endeavor to foster positive relationships between home and school as we partner in the education of your child.
We have an open door policy, which means parents are always welcome at Kindergarten. You may even choose to join our parent roster or help with excursions. We love seeing parents share the special skills and talents they have with our class.
Tiny Seeds Kindy is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the school term. Parents can choose to send their kids 3 or 4 days. Doors open at 8:00am to give parents time to settle their child before the first group session and runs to 3:30pm.
